mneme decided that moving heavy boxes down stairs led to too much wear and tear on the body. So, he rigged up a dumb waiter which we dubbed The Boxivator!The slide was made of clear packing tape. The Boxivator is a box with a rope running through it. A smaller box is put inside. The person at the top, wearing gloves -- this is not optional if one wishes to avoid rope burns! -- pushes the box over, and feeds rope through hands, while the person at the bottom pulls. Gravity does the real work.
